We are a small tour organization that aims to be personal and approachable. We don’t have a front office, back office or support team. We personally handle all incoming calls and questions in order to give you the best service. However, we are usually on the road giving tours. So if you have a question and you can’t reach us by phone, please send us an e-mail and we will contact you within 24 hours.

Health, safety and corona
Is it safe to book a tour with Tour and Travels Amsterdam?
Yes it is safe to book a tour with us. Health and safety of our guests and tour guides is our top priority. We want you to fully enjoy our tours and therefore we follow all rules and regulations of the local authorities concerning health and safety.
Which measure have been implemented so assure my safety?
All equipment is disinfected at the start of each tour. Before the tour starts, everyone who doesn’t have a face mask will be handed one. We encourage social distancing and we follow local laws and regulations regarding maximum group size.
Tickets and reservations
If I cancel my reservation, do I get a refund?
You are eligible for a full refund if you cancel the reservation at least 7 days prior to the start of the tour. If you book in the 7 days prior to the tour, you are eligible to a full refund if you cancel the reservation within 24 hours of booking. 24 hours before the tour is scheduled to start, all bookings are final.
Can I change the date / timeslot without additional costs?
Up to 24 hours prior to the start of the tour, you can change date and timeslot without additional charges. Please note if you received a discount while booking, you might not be eligible for the same discount when changing your reservation.
Can I book a private tour for a group or family?
Absolutely. All you need to do is purchase all the tickets of a given time slot. If you travel with a bigger group than the maximum number of tickets we offer for a specific time slot, please contact us first to check if your group size meets local laws and regulations.
Practicalities
What do I need to bring?
Generally, we provide everything you need (e.g. bike, face mask, snacks, etc.). We do encourage you to wear your own face mask, bring your own bottle of water, make sure you’re dressed for the weather conditions (we provide ponchos in case of rain) and bring your camera to capture all the unique moments of your experience!
Pricing and costs
How is the price of the tours built up?
Every tour offered in Amsterdam is taxed with a tourist tax of €1.50 per person. Additionally, 21% VAT is charged on all services and tickets. Finally, income tax is 37.1% in the Netherlands for annual income under 68.500 euro. Over 68.500 income tax is 49.5%. If we charge for example €25 for a tour we earn €12.99 to €14.16 and if we charge €40 we earn €21.28 to €23.20
Additionally, we give 1% of our proceedings to charity, i.e. medical services in the fields of cancer, diabetes, dementia, Parkinson a.o. that suffered tremendously under the prevalence for Covid care.
